For surgical voice rehabilitation subsequent to total laryngectomy. After primary or secondary tracheo-oesophageal puncture, the prosthesis is inserted retrograde into the fistula with the aid of a guide wire.
Benefits of TRACOE Voice Prostheses:
- The ball valve is especially designed to be self-centering to ensure optimum sealing and air tightness.
- The valve opens in response to only very slight pressure. Therefore only little force is needed to speak.
- The ball valveās favourable aerodynamics allow easy modulation of the speaking volume.
- The ball valve and counter-bearing are made of Candida-resistant materials. This ensures the valve will continue sealing properly for a long time.
